Congratulations to the JV team on a thrilling North Star Cup tournament win! The team beat Crystal Lake South 6 - 2, Conant 8 - 4, P.R.E.P. 5 - 4 in a shoot out, and Metro West Conference rival Hinsdale Central 2 - 1 to claim the tournament. Solid team contributions from everyone made this a fantastic start to the season.

Sunday, August 16, 2009, is our annual fundraiser
The Geneva Hockey Club Car Wash
We will need ALL players to participate and help make this a great success. Parents you are welcome and your help will be very much appreciated.
Where: JC Licht/Soup To Nuts Parking Lot
7th & State Street, Geneva
Time: 9:00 - 3:00
The more players we have to help the more cars we can wash. There will be a job for everyone. Even if you can only make it for an hour or so please make an effort to come. Be sure to bring money to buy lunch if you plan on being present for the day. Water and drinks will be provided for all. Don't forget to tell your family and friends to stop by. We will be asking for a donation instead of a set price. Bring your smiling face and a few rags if you have them. Be ready for a fun time shared with all your team members and families! Tell your family and friends to head out to Jamba Juice at Geneva Commons on Saturday, June 25th.
All they have to do is present the flyer at the time of purchase - or tell the cashier you want to support Geneva Hockey.

Metro West is now requiring ALL players to have a sports physical prior to the start of the 2009-10 Fall season. Please download the Metro West Participation Form here, have your doctor complete the form, then return the signed form to the club. Signed forms can be mailed to the club address (Geneva Hockey Club, P.O. Box 105, Geneva, IL 60134), or contact one of the board members/coaches for other arrangements.

- Advanced Powerskating
- Intense On and Off Ice Training for Maximum Player Development
- Increase Strength, Power, Explosiveness and Gain Speed
All Geneva High School, Marmion Academy and St. Francis High School Hockey Players, including incoming Freshman, are invited.
Program starts June 25 and runs through August 20. $100 for 10 sessions. Each session includes one hour on ice with off ice training directly following.

As we did last Spring, Geneva Hockey is planning on participating in the Hockey Concepts High School Spring League.
We are in the process of securing ice for practices and gathering information on teams so we can determine costs.

Team Christmas Pizza Party & Parent Meeting:
Sunday Dec.14th following the Varsity Team's 4:10 game a parent meeting for both Varsity and JV parents will be held together upstairs by the skyboxes.

The Geneva Hockey Board is asking all parents to attend a team meeting that same afternoon. Varsity parents prior to the Varsity game at 3:30 and JV parents to attend a team meeting after the JV game.
Christmas Pizza party will follow upstairs in the sky boxes after the Varsity game.

The Geneva Hockey Club will be in the Geneva Homecoming Parade this Friday, Sept. 26th. The lineup at the school starts at 1 PM and the Parade starts at 2 PM. We will be wearing our white jerseys during the parade. Bring your roller blades and sticks and a tennis ball if you have them. We will bring candy to the lineup for the players to pass out during the parade.
